Flashing Light At Sunset

Flashing light at sunset, leaves a trail across the sun
Autumn gold surrender, now the year has just begun
And it starts with you and it's ended here with you

Shooting star at midnight, leaves a trail across the sky
Icy clouds and halo stars, silently pass by
And it starts with you, and it's ended here with you

And if I died today, I couldn't see much more
But I think I'll hold on, and I'll breathe in your beauty
Swim in your sunshine smile

I'll catch a plane at midnight leave a trail across the sky
If miracles were waiting, I'd just have to pass them by
And it starts with you, and it's ended here with you

And if I died today, I couldn't see much more
But I think I'll hold on, and I'll breathe in your beauty
Swim in your sunshine smile

Flashing light at sunset, leaves a trail across the sun
Autumn gold surrender, now the year has just begun
And it starts with you and it's ended here with you

Quotes:
Andy: This was written in Steve's flat near Sefton Park, at Christmas, watching it get dark. It was an amazing sunset, and I watched a distant plane fly across the setting sun, leaving a violet trail of ice. As I watched the flashing lights on the plane and waited for more beer to arrive from Steve's fridge, I thought to myself, how beautiful, and had this feeling of how important in life it really is, to collect such memories of moments of beauty, moments when you feel connected to something deeper. For an instant, you see the whole and lave the self behind. It seemed natural for Soph to take the lead vocal on this song, as she's liked it from the start. I think there's a mysterious sadness in Soph's voice that captures the ancient soul of what I was getting at.
